High potential employees offer unique challenges and rewards for employers. The large majority of business organizations, large and small, lack enough high-quality employees for strategic growth, succession planning and additional talent recruitment. In this program, California Lutheran University professor and associate dean Dr. Vlad Vaiman will discuss the importance of identifying and keeping high potential employee, including:

• Talent management and its most essential components
• Core talent management activities in an organization
• Strategies to identify your existing high potential employees
• Tips for locating and recruiting the organization’s future stars
• Overcoming key obstacles to identifying and retaining high potentials

Dr. Vlad Vaiman is Professor of international management and an Associate Dean for the School of Management at California Lutheran University. He holds a Ph.D. degree in International Management from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and has received his MBA in Strategic Management and Human Resources at the School of Business of the University of Wyoming, USA. His professional experience includes consulting assignments for major organizations throughout the world, including in much of Europe and the United States. Dr. Vaiman is a long-time member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants and a highly sought-after speaker – he is frequently invited to speak on both professional and academic matters to a number of global corporations and highly acclaimed universities around the world on topics of talent management, cross-cultural communication and negotiations, and expatriation. Dr. Vaiman has published three successful books on managing talent in organizations, as well as a number of academic and practitioner-oriented articles and book chapters in the fields of talent management and international HRM.
